University Police officers wear gray uniforms with name badges; University Police Student Assistants (UPSA) wear bright red jackets, red shirts, and ID tags. Each UPSA carries a police radio to stay in touch with the university police dispatch center.
Buffalo State's shuttle service features a 16-passenger minibus operated by Gray Line Niagara Falls/Buffalo. The shuttle is able to provide transportation for up to 15 students at a time with easy on and off access.
The Grant Cleveland Shuttle operates 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on days that classes are in session. The shuttle runs from Lot G-20 to Lot R-14 to Cleveland Circle and back again. Schedule subject to change. Track the shuttle.
The overnight escort shuttle operates from 4:30 p.m.-4:30 a.m. seven days a week while school is in session. The route circulates campus in a clockwise fashion, stopping for passengers at blue-light phones. Track the shuttle.
The Wegmans/Tops shuttle operates 5:00-8:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, when classes are in session. Track the Wegmans/Tops shuttle.
From time to time, one of the regular shuttle buses will need to be pulled out of service for maintenance. In this case, a backup shuttle will be used. Track the backup shuttle.
In support of Buffalo State’s mission to provide safe, timely, and reliable escorts to the campus community, the Gray Line mini bus has been equipped with a web-based Global Positioning System (GPS) to track the location of the vehicles. Using the mini bus Location Service, riders can track the location of the shuttle, on either the day or evening shuttle route via the web or smart phone.
Riders will know their min bus’s location and be able to project its arrival time at the location where they are waiting.
